Fifty-six vocational nursing students received their pins during ceremonies held Thursday, May 8, at First Baptist Church.

Director of Health Occupations Marcia Putnam gave the welcome and introduced college administrators and faculty members.

In a nod to the past, the instructors all wore old style caps and all white uniforms historically reserved for nursing graduates.

The Hopkins-Nicholas Award for outstanding performance in both classroom and clinical training went to Jennifer Giles of Celeste.

Carol Ladd of Pattonville was given the Metamorphosis Award for exhibiting the most growth throughout the entire LVN program. Richard Ross Ouinlan had the highest grade point average.

Jennifer Giles, Abena Brefo of Paris, Brenda Ladell of Reno, and Christie Okoro of Plano all had perfect attendance. This signifies that throughout the entire program these students had no absences or tardiniess for class, clinicals or any scheduled nursing appointments.
