PJC Information Services The Paris Junior College Dragons men’s basketball team finished the fall semester with a 10-1 record and a No. 7 NJCAA ranking in the final national poll for 2008. “We feel pretty good about how the first semester went and hopefully after the break we can come back and continue to work hard and get better on a daily basis,” said Dragaons Head Coach Ross Hodge. “There is much we can improve on, and we still have along way to go of reaching our ultimate goal.” That goal, of course, is a regional championship and a return to the NJCAA National Tournament, where the Dragons finished in 8th place last March. “We also had two young men sign letter of intents in the fall period,” Hodge added. “Shannon Shorter signed with the University of North Texas, and Kenny Gabriel signed with Auburn University. Both will attend those schools in the fall of 2009.” The Dragons women’s basketball team finished the fall semester with an 8-5 overall record, 2-2 in conference play. |
