Policies & Procedures

A photo ID is required for all tests administered. Some tests require a Texas driver’s license or state-issued identification card, while others only require a PJC student ID. Photo ID may be a PJC ID card, driver’s license, state ID card, school ID card, employment ID card, passport or military ID card. Dual credit students without official photo ID may bring a school yearbook with them. Students will not be allowed to test without photo ID.

Students needing to take placement tests, such as Quick THEA or Accuplacer, will need to come to the Testing Center to pick up a “Permission to Pay” form. They will take this form to the PJC Business Office, pay for their test, then bring the receipt to the Testing Center. At that time, they can reserve a seat for their chosen test, and they will receive an admission ticket to bring with them on the test date.

Instructors who need to have a make-up exam or an Internet/Distance Learning course test proctored, please download the form, print a copy, fill it out and bring it to the Testing Center.

Internet/Distance Learning course instructors, make sure the form is filled out completely, including passwords for the tests and materials that can be used during the test.

Instructors needing make-up tests proctored are responsible for getting the tests to the Testing Center with the appropriate form filled out and for picking up the tests for scoring. Instructors will be required to sign for the tests they are picking up.

Special Accommodations

Special accommodations for testing are available for students who have filled out the appropriate forms in the Counseling and Advising Center to request testing modifications.
