Paris Junior College agriculture students sponsor an annual flower sale each spring to raise funds for program activities. Posted or edited: 01.19.07 ... PJC Information Services Paris Junior College’s agriculture program prepares students for transfer to programs in farm and ranch management, as well as crop and livestock production. The program teaches skills students need to succeed in a variety of agriculture-related careers. Animal science studies emphasize the production and use of animals and animal products. The curriculum includes topics such as genetics, nutrition, reproduction, health, management, business and forage production. It stresses biological and economic aspects of animal production and management. Crop science studies emphasize the production and use of field and forage crops. Important components include soils and soil fertility, tillage, integrated pest management. PJC also offers certificate programs in agriculture and agricultural production operations.
