PJC cosmetology students learn all phases of cosmetology, including hair coloring, foiling, waving, manicuring, pedicuring, hair restructuring and many other techniques. It’s a people-based industry, and you will touch the lives of those with whom your work and upon whom you practice your skill. Some of the skills you will learn include precision hair cutting, elements and principles of hair design, hair coloring and foiling, manicuring, facials and much more. The PJC Cosmetology program allows a student to earn a one-year certificate and obtain a license from the Texas Cosmetology Commission to practice in the field. The program consists of 1,500 clock hours required by the Texas Cosmetology Commission and 42 credit hours. The PJC program is inexpensive compared to other training facilities. Assistance with job placement is provided, and instructors are always available to assist students with salon questions, even after they graduate. » For more information, e-mail .
