Students may register for the THEA online at http://www.thea.nesinc.com or by phone at 512-927-5398. If you would like to register using regular mail, come by the PJC Testing Center to pick up a THEA Registration Bulletin. For further information, please contact the PJC Testing Center at 903-782-0446.

Students must plan ahead in order to have scores back in time for New Student Orientation or Registration. Generally, it takes two weeks to get THEA scores back electronically. If a student waits to take the test until only two weeks before test scores are needed, the Testing Center does not guarantee that scores will be available.

Quick THEA

The Quick THEA test (which is the same test as the regular THEA, with the exception that the score report will be received more quickly) will be offered the following dates.

Paris

  • Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, 7:45 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Greenville

  • Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, 7:45 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Sulphur Springs

  • Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, 7:45 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Registration is conducted on a drop-in basis. Applicants must register prior to the test date. Paris campus applicants register in the Testing Center, located in the Alford Center. Students enrolling at the Greenville campus should call 903-454-9333, and students enrolling at the Sulphur Springs campus should call 903-885-1232 to reserve a seat for the Quick THEA test. At the time of registration, applicants will be given an admission paper.

On the day of the test, examinees should bring the $29 test fee (check, money order or voucher payable to Evaluation Systems, Pearson, or Visa or MasterCard). Cash will not be accepted. Students are required to bring a photo ID, and are allowed to bring a basic four-function (+,-,x,/) calculator for the math portion of the test.

Students must plan ahead in order to have scores back in time for New Student Orientation or Registration. Generally, it takes one week to get Q-THEA scores back electronically. If a student waits to take the test until only a week before test scores are needed, the Testing Center does not guarantee that scores will be available.

For Q-THEA tests conducted in Sulphur Springs and Greenville, there must be at least 15 registrants for the test to be administered. In Paris, Saturday tests must have at least 15 registrants, and weekday tests must have at least 6. Students should call two days prior to the test date to see if the test has been cancelled.
