2013 PJC Homecoming King & Queen Crowned

Crowned PJC 2013 Homecoming King and Queen were Tyler Murphy of Commerce and Sara Dunmon of Powderly. The two were selected by a vote of PJC students and announced at halftime of the men’s basketball game against North Lake College on Nov. 9, 2013.

New royalty was announced at halftime of the Paris Junior College men's basketball game against North Lake College the Saturday night of PJC's 89th Homecoming weekend. Chosen King and Queen were Tyler Murphy of Commerce and Sara Dunmon of Powderly. Murphy is a 2012 graduate of Commerce High School and the son of Blenda Walter and Gary Walter of Commerce. He attends PJC under a basketball scholarship and serves as manager for the Dragon basketball team. He is also a member of the African American Student Union. After PJC he plans to continue his education at a four year university and then on to medical school. Dunmon is a 2012 graduate of North Lamar High School and the daughter of Carol and David Dunmon of Powderly. She attends PJC on a volleyball scholarship. Sara is a two year member of the Paris Junior College volleyball team. After PJC she will continue her education at a four year university pursuing her nursing degree.
