April classes set for G-ville

Paris Junior College - Greenville Center will offer a variety of continuing education classes during April, according to Kerri O’Connor, Director.


A Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law class will meet from 10 a.m. to noon on April 8. The cost of the session is $25. Participants will learn how to register copyrights, select and register a trademark, and how to evaluate creative products for patent protection.

How to Sell to the Government will offer the basics of government contracting at the federal, state and local level. The seminar will be presented from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on April 14 at a cost of $25.

A Small Business Guide to Risk Management Assessment will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon on April 15. The cost of the workshop is $20. Participants will learn to identify and prioritize risks throughout all areas of their business including legal structure, business environment, marketing, operations, human resources, regulatory issues, taxes, international trade, and insurance.

The Basics for Starting Your Own Business will be held from 1-4 p.m. on April 20 at a cost of $25. Learn what it takes to start and operate a small business.

Many small business owners go spiritually, mentally and physically bankrupt long before they go financially bankrupt. Changing Your Mindset to Make Money will offer techniques for changing your thinking to save your business life while significantly increasing employee satisfaction and profits. The seminar will meet from 2-4 p.m. on April 28. The cost is $25.


A Phlebotomy class will meet from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday through Thursday, April 11-14 at a cost of $60. This class covers theoretical and practical aspects of specimen collection for clinical laboratories.
