Art and music take center stage at PJC on Tuesday

Annual art awards and the spring semester Music Student Recital both take place on Tuesday, May 2 at Paris Junior College. An opening reception for the student art exhibit is highlighted by the annual awards ceremony in the Foyer Gallery. The reception begins at 4:30 p.m. and awards will be presented at approximately 5:00 p.m. Refreshments are available at the event, which continues until 6 p.m. The exhibit of student aret will be on display at the Foyer Gallery through Tuesday, May 9. Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. is the Student Music Recital for both voice and piano students. The Music Building is the location for this free event. Music to be performed includes works by Lymes, Wilton, Beyer, Speer, Hook, Wohlfahrt, Kohler, Turk, Khatchaturian, Haydn, Vaughan Williams, Porter, Schyte, Yokoyama, Howard, Lecuona, Danger, Rebikov, Grupner, Chopin, Jobin,and Brown.
