Published or Revised May 02, 2007

More than 450 candidates have applied for graduation on Friday, May 11, at Paris Junior College. Commencement exercises begin at 8 p.m. at Noyes Stadium with the procession of College Regents, faculty members and candidates from the Mike Rheudasil Learning Center. If the weather prevents holding the ceremony outside, it will be held in the Hunt Physical Education Center. Overflow crowds for indoor ceremonies will be accommodated in room 1202 of the Walters Applied Technologies Building north of the main campus. The announcement of the change to an indoor ceremony would be made by noon on that Friday. Five nominees for the Distinguished Service Award will be recognized. They include Earnest Jones, John Castleman, Lynette Hadley, Brandi Dalme, and Larissa Martin. One will be announced as winner during commencement. This award is given for outstanding academic, campus and community accomplishments while attending PJC. At the conclusion of the ceremonies, a reception will be held for all graduates, their family and friends. The location will be announced during the program.
