Lady Dragons rank on WBCA academic list

Paris Junior College's women's basketball squad placed 12th on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Academic Honor Roll for community colleges for the 2004-2005 season. The Dragons boasted a cumulative GPA of 2.954.

"These ... teams set the standard for student-athletes to excel in the classroom as well as on the court," said WBCA Chief Executive Officer Beth Bass.

The WBCA annually ranks teams academically at the NCAA, NAIA and the community college levels.

"We want our players to succeed in three different areas: athletically, academically and in the community through community service," said PJC Dragons Coach Scott Hyland.
