Published or Revised March 31, 2006

Megan Gordon, a senior at Chisum High School, has been awarded the Donna and Leo Moersen Registered Nursing Scholarship to attend Paris Junior College. Gordon, the daughter of Steve and Lori Gordon of Paris, will enroll at Paris Junior College this summer. The Donna and Leo Moersen Scholarship pays full tuition, fees, books and provides nurse uniforms required for the two-year nursing program at the PJC School of Nursing. "I am so grateful for this opportunity to continue my education," Gordon said. "My parents, family and friends have supported me, and I appreciate everyone who has been involved in my education." Gordon, in addition to completing high school this year, has completed a number of college courses through the dual credit program with Paris Junior College. "We are proud to award a Moersen Scholarship to Megan and look forward to her entering our nursing program," said Marcia Putnam, director of the PJC Health Occupations Department.
