Orientation sessions for GED classes scheduled

Paris Junior College will hold orientation sessions in Paris and Sulphur Springs for persons wishing to enroll in Adult Education/GED Preparation classes.

Orientation will be held on the Paris campus Oct. 9-12 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Rheudasil Learning Center. Participants are required to attend all four orientation sessions before being placed into a class. Classes for new and returning students will begin on Monday, Oct. 16.

Paris Junior College Sulphur Springs Center will hold an orientation Oct. 16-19 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Center and from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Sulphur Springs High School. Participants are required to attend all four sessions before being placed into a class. Classes for new and returning students will begin on Monday, Oct. 23.

Students must be 18 years or age or older and provide a valid Social Security number. Seventeen-year-olds may attend if they have an official withdrawal from school, notification of parental consent, and provide a Social Security number. Court-ordered 16-year-olds must have a copy of the court order stating attendance is required in Adult Education (GED) classes offered through Paris Junior College and provide a Social Security number.

No one will be admitted into class after the orientation dates.
