Adult education orientation sessions scheduled

The Adult Education and Family Literacy Department at Paris Junior College will hold new-student orientation July 11-14 at both the Paris and Sulphur Springs campuses. All students wishing to take GED classes must complete the four-session orientation before being placed into a class.

Sessions will be available from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. GED classes will meet on Monday and Wednesday for five weeks starting July 18.

Students must be 18 or older. Seventeen-year-olds may enroll with an official withdrawal from public school and parental consent. Sixteen-year-olds must have a court order to enroll. All students must provide a Social Security number.

Anyone interested must register with the Adult Education Department, 903-782-0424. A minimum of 20 students is required for this session.
