PJC announces 92nd Homecoming King & Queen

The 92nd Homecoming celebration at Paris Junior College was capped Saturday evening with the crowning of the King and Queen, Raven Maxwell and Samuel Oku. Raven is a 2015 graduate of Cooper High School and the daughter of Amanda and Tony Mims of Cooper, Texas. She is active in the Drama Department and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She has been named to the President's Honor List and Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. After PJC Raven will continue her education at Tyler Junior College pursuing her degree in dental hygiene. After that she plans to transfer to dental school. Samuel s a 2014 graduate of Anna High School and is the son of Alfred Oku and Lily Laryea of Anna, Texas (originally from Ghana, West Africa). He is a two-year member of the Dragon soccer team and has been named to Who's Who Among Students in American Junior College. After PJC he plans to continue his education at a four-year university pursuing his major in civil engineering with a minor in psychology. He would also like to continue playing soccer to the highest level possible. The two were crowned during halftime of the men's basketball game against Jarvis Christian College's JV team in the Hunt Center.
