PJC Dragons figure in recent baseball draft

One current member of the Paris Junior College Dragon baseball team and two former members were selected in the recent Major League Baseball draft. The Atlanta Braves drafted Zach Oliver, a Region XIV All-Conference pitcher for the 2006 Dragons, in the 24th round. The Boston Red Sox drafted Bryce Cox, former Dragon All-Conference pitcher and a member of the Rice University Owl baseball team, in the third round. The 6-4, 200 pounder was the 103rd pick in the draft. Finally, the Florida Marlins drafted former PJC Dragon Jordan Davis, now playing for the University of Alabama, in the 19th round.
