Scholarships At Paris Junior College

Published or Revised April 14, 2024

Paris Junior College provides scholarships to qualifying students in two ways: the Paris Junior College Memorial Foundation (established by the PJC Alumni and Friends Association) has endowed several scholarships, and the college provides many other scholarships from within its budget.

Scholarships are awarded based on a variety of factors, including financial need, GPA, academic achievement, academic major, leadership, etc. Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per fall/spring semester. All Applicants must complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TAFSA - non-US Citizens) and be admitted to Paris Junior College. Note: The new FAFSA rollout by the federal government has not gone smoothly. In light of this, students should go ahead and apply online for scholarships. The College will still require a completed FAFSA before the scholarship is disbursed in the fall.

Any application that is incomplete or submitted without the required documentation will not be considered. Individuals will not be notified of incomplete applications.

Additionally, federal programs such as Pell Grants offer substantial financial assistance to qualifying applicants. All scholarship applicants must fill out the PJC General Scholarship Application and the federal Pell Grant application (FAFSA). All scholarship recipients must enroll for a full course load. Other requirements will be listed under a specific scholarship.
