In addition to day and evening welding classes, Paris Junior College will be offering an eight-week welding class taught on Friday evening and Saturday to meet high demand. The course will be located in Commerce to provide a central location to students in the PJC service area. A number of other eight-week courses, including two new plumbing courses in Paris, are available. The classes begin on March 17 and there is still time to sign up.
“PJC is meeting the needs of the community in providing new welders,” said PJC President, Dr. Pamela Anglin. “We are also helping our students finish their degrees faster by offering online and face to face courses over the last half of the spring semester. And if someone is considering attending college, a short course is a great way to get started.”
Online courses include biology, criminal justice, drama English, geology, government, history, astronomy, psychology, sociology and speech.
In-person classes in Paris include introduction to computers, nail technology, English, elementary algebra and camping; in Greenville integrated reading and writing and camping are offered; and composition and rhetoric, government and camping are available in Sulphur Springs.
