PJC Fall 2017 President’s and Dean’s List honorees announced
Paris Junior College is pleased to announce that 182 students were named to the President’s and Dean’s lists for academic achievement during the fall 2017 semester.

The Paris Junior College Board of Regents approved a new associate of applied science in surgical technology on Monday, March 19, 2018. The move comes in response to changes from the Accreditation Review Committee in Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (ARC-STSA).

The Beta Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Paris Junior College held spring 2018 induction ceremonies in Greenville, Paris, and Sulphur Springs on March 5, 6, and 7. The two-year college honor society inducted 175 students this semester.

Thursday through Sunday, March 1-4, the Paris Junior College Drama Department is presenting what has been called the funniest farce ever written. “Noises Off!” by Michael Frayne presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called “Nothing’s On.” Doors slamming, on- and offstage intrigue, and an errant sardine all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play.

An opening invocation was delivered by Student Government Association President Laura Sandoval, and music student Deja Sikes performed "Ending of the Beginning."

The Paris Junior College Board of Regents approved amending a tax abatement agreement with Campbell Soup. The original 2013 agreement was for a single serve beverage line. The modification will apply to the new Plum Organics line for the remainder of the agreement, which runs to 2020.

The program is open to all Lamar County high school juniors and seniors, as well as those from the Clarksville and Detroit high schools. The program is being put together with the support and cooperation of the Lamar County Coalition of Business, Industry and Education and Paris Economic Development Corporation.
