2009 Tyler Junior College Fall Invitational

Kevin Giesbrecht, a sophomore from Carmen, Manitoba, Canada, shot a sizzling four-under-par 68 in the second round of the Tyler Junior College Fall Invitational played at Oak Hurst Golf Club in Bullard, Texas, to win his second medalist title of the 2009 fall schedule.

The Dragons finished in third place with team scores of 299 and 293. Other Dragons that played were Preston Spoonemeor, 75-76; Thomas Bourne, 77-74; Alex McKee, 75-81; and Riley Goff, 84-75.

“This wraps up our 2009 fall season, we had three individual tournament winners and one team win this Fall, which was good,” said Dragons Golf Coach David Johnson.

“We need to get all five players shooting good scores all together on each day to have more success this spring as a team. All in all, I was pleased with the our finishes, but we have room for improvement.

“Next up for the team, we will start our off-season lifting and running programs.”
