GED test to be administered Thursday, Oct. 9
Registration will be available on a drop-in basis at the PJC Testing Center until 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Paris Junior College will give the GED test at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9. Registration will be available on a drop-in basis at the PJC Testing Center until 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7. Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration takes 45 minutes to one hour to complete.
The cost for taking the test is $60 for those taking it the first time and $12 per section for students retaking the test.
Examinees must provide a photo ID at the time of registration. These include a valid driver’s license, a Texas identification card, a military ID or a valid passport.
Seventeen-year-olds must have an official Withdrawal From School Form and a Parental Consent Form. These forms are available in the Testing Center. Sixteen-year-olds are only eligible to take the GED with an original court order.
The test is typically over between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. No child care is provided, and no children are allowed in the registration or testing room.
