Section: Golf ResultsMary-Hardin Baylor Fall Invitational 2008The Paris Junior College golf team finished in 8th place at the University of Mary - Hardin Baylor Fall Invitational Tuesday. The Dragons had rounds of 294 and 322 for a 613 total. Jason Timmis led the Dragons and was named to the All-Tournament team for the second straight tournament. Timmis had rounds of 2-under-par 69 and 77 for a 146 total, and a forth-place individual finish. Freshman Zane Caillier shot one-under 70 and 79 for 149. Other Dragons were Borge Klungerbo, 78-83=161; Tony Griffith, 80-83=163; and Kevin Giesbrecht 77-87=165. We played OK the first day. We were in second place, two shots behind UT-Dallas. We had two guys under par and still shot in the mid 290s, which was very average. The second day we couldn't get anything going at all. It was the highest score that a Paris golf team has shot since I have been here, and we were all a little embarrassed at how we played. It was our first time on the road with three freshman and one sophomore who hasn't played much, so it was an eye-opener for us. I know the guys will bounce back and work hard on the things they need to improve on. We will be better after this experience. The Dragons next tournament is Oct. 19-21 in Tyler at Oakhurst Country Club. Final Standings (Top 10)
