Mary Hardin-Baylor Spring Invitational

The dragons played their first tournament at Wild Flower Country Club in Temple. The tournament was hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor University.

Jason Timmis lead the dragons to a third-place team finish with scores of 76-76, good enough to take the medalist honors for the tournament. This was Timmis' ninth consecutive tournament to be named to an All Tournament team.

The course was a good test of golf with lots of out-of-bounds and very sloping and firm greens. But over the two days the conditions didn't help. Wind blew around 25-35 mph, so it was two days of grinding golf.

On the first day the Dragons put themselves in a good position with a score of 317, five shots of the lead. The second day they fired a score of 327, which gave them a tie for third, 10 shots of the leader Mary Hardin-Baylor.
