Texas State Junior College Championship 2007

Coach's Comments:

The PJC Dragons finished in sixth place at the Texas State Junior College Championship held at Harbor Lakes Golf Club in Granbury.

The Dragons team scores for the three rounds were 301-302-303 for a 906 total.

Beau Davis, a freshman from Abilene Wylie, finished in seventh place with rounds of 73-75-71 for 219 and was named to the All-State Team. Freshman Andrew Brauer had rounds of 76-71-76 for 223 for a 12th place finish. Ben Montgomery, another Freshman, shot 72-78-74 for 224 and finished in 13th place.

We had three guys play well, but you need four or five to play well to get the team results you would like, and we didn't get that.

The next tournament for the Dragons is the Region XIV Tournament at Eagles Bluff Golf Club in Bullard. The team scores from the State Tournament will carry over to the Regionals for a six-round total to determine the Region XIV champions.
