Section: Golf Results2009 PJC Fall InvitationalSeven men's teams and three women's teams competed from Paris, Tyler, Hill, Texarkana, Lon Morris and McLennan. In the men's division, McLennan Community College, the 2009 defending National Champions, proved to be tough competition by winning the tournament with scores of 290 and 282. The dragons finished in team competition in fourth place with scores of 293 and 298. Individually, the dragons were led by Thomas Bourne who tied for first place with 141 for the day. He had the lowest round of the tournament, shooting 3-under-par at 67 and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Kevin Giesbrecht of Paris finished in the top 10 in a seventh-place tie with rounds of 71 and 74. "Tom and Kevin played well in both rounds. We have to work on being consistent, with all five players shooting in the mid to low 70s in order to put ourselves in position to be competitive," said David Johnson, PJC golf coach. The Tyler Lady Apaches won the women's division with scores of 328 and 320. Jacki Marshall from Tyler was fist place with rounds of 73-72. Former North Lamar golfers Caitlyn (82-84) and Kristyn (84-82) Morrone, tied for third and were named to the All-Tournament Team. The Dragons will compete in the Mary-Hardin Baylor Fall Invitational at Mill Creek Golf Resort in Salado, Texas, Oct. 4-6. Men's Final Standings
