PJC jumped out to a 19-0 lead to start the game, led by 8 points from Krystle Adams. A Brittany Williams basket at the 8:01 mark of the half gave the Lady Dragons their largest lead of the day, 40-10. Hill College would close the gap, however, thanks to 15 of 22 shooting from the free-throw line. For the half, Hill would be called for seven fouls to PJC’s 17. In the second half, the hometown Lady Rebels cut the lead to 13 before the Lady Dragons opened the lead back up to 23 at 73-50. We let up too much down the stretch and got a little sloppy, but a win on the road always feels good. PJC got scoring from all 10 players, led by LaKeisha Jones with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Krystle Adams added 14 points and Brittany Williams 11. The Lady Dragons’ No. 24 ranking in the NJCAA poll is believed to be the first time in the program’s history the team has been ranked. Paris is averaging 81.6 points per game, good for No. 17 in scoring offense. The Lady Dragons are giving up 58.4 points per game, which is good for No. 20 in scoring defense. The 20 points and 13 rebounds by Jones was her second double-double of the season. Faryn Bills has also recorded a double-double this season with 18 points and 11 rebounds against Mountain View.
