Fall 2018 Choir Concert

The Fall Choir Concert at Paris Junior College will feature the music of Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, Rachmaninov, and more. The concert will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the J. Emory Shaw Recital Hall in the Music Building on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Choir members include Ismari Blanco, Cyan Burkhart, Omar Bustillos-Parra, Hayden Caldwell, Javian Dabbs, Gary Dodd, Trent Fells, Deja Godwin, Molly Law, Jimmy Sanders, Eric Shelton, and Maria Yepiz. The performance will include “Come Landlord Fill the Flowing Bowl,” Traditional arrangement; “If ye Love Me,” Thomas Tallis; “Belle Qui Tiens ma Vie,” Thoinot Arbeau; “Il Bianco e Dolce Cigno,” Jacques Arcadelt; “O Salutaris Hostia,” Pierre de la Rue; “Ave Verum Corpus (K. 618),” W.A. Mozart; “Litanei,” Franz Schubert arr.; “Heidenröslein,” Robert Schumann; “Bogoroditse Devo,” Sergei Rachmaninov; and “Cantate Domino,” A. Gretchaninoff. Upcoming Music Department events include the Piano, Voice, and Guitar Studio Recital at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 in the J. Emory Shaw Recital Hall and the Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. on Dec. 4 in the DeShong Chapel.
