The Testing Center At PJC

A variety of tests required for students and prospective students are administered through the Paris Junior College Testing Center in Paris, located in the Alford Center behind the College Store. Testing is also available by appointment at the PJC-Greenville Center and PJC-Sulphur Springs Center (see below). Please click here to make online payment for a test.

PLEASE NOTE: the GED test, THEA test, CLEP tests, HESI A2 & Mobility tests, TCFP exams, and WorkKeys tests are only given on the Paris campus in the Alford Center.

Hours Of Operation

PARIS CAMPUS

The Testing Center is open Monday through Friday but all testing is by appointment only. Please call 903-782-0446 for reservations. Payment for tests may be made online or at the Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Limited TSIA2 during final exams.

Paris Testing Hours:

  • Monday, 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. (last test must start by 6 p.m.)
  • Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

PJC — GREENVILLE CENTER

The Testing Center is open Monday through Thursday, but all testing is by appointment only. Call 903-454-9333 for reservations. Payment for tests may be made online or at the Center from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (3 p.m. for credit / debit card payments), Monday through Thursday. Limited TSIA2 testing during final exams.

Greenville Testing Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Friday CLOSED
  • Evening testing hours available Monday - Thursday, by appointment only.

PJC — SULPHUR SPRINGS CENTER

Call 903-885-1232 for reservations. Payment for tests may be made online or at the Center between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Limited TSIA2 during final exams. Please make an appointment prior to testing.

Sulphur Springs Testing Hours:

  • Tuesday - Wednesday only, 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Testing by appointment

Policies & Procedures

A photo ID is required for all tests administered. Some tests require a Texas driver's license or state-issued identification card, while others only require a PJC student ID. Photo ID may be a PJC ID card, driver’s license, state ID card, school ID card, employment ID card, passport or military ID card.

Some tests - CLEP, THEA, GED, TCFP exams, and WorkKeys - require a government-issued photo ID. Dual credit students without official photo ID may bring a school yearbook with them. Students will not be allowed to test without photo ID.

Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) Testing

Students needing to take the TSIA2 placement test will need to first complete a Pre-Assessment Activity, which may be accessed online by clicking here. Afterwards, students should receive a Testing Ticket from the Admissions or Counseling/Advising Office.

Students enrolling at the Paris campus should call 903-782-0446 or go to the Testing Center located in the Alford Center to reserve a seat for the TSIA2. Students enrolling at the Greenville Center should call 903-454-9333, and students enrolling at the Sulphur Springs campus should call 903-885-1232 to reserve a seat for the TSIA2.

For TSIA2 testing, prior registration is not required during the regular and late registration period but testing is limited during final exams. See below for a link to additional TSIA2 information. The cost of the TSIA2 is $25. Retests are $15 per session.

Payments for any tests in Paris may be made online or in the Business Office. Students should then bring the receipt back to the Testing Center, along with their photo ID and testing ticket (CLEP only) to begin testing. In Greenville and Sulphur Springs, payments should be made in the Business Office and receipts should be taken to the Testing Center, along with their photo ID, to begin testing.

Instructors who need to have a make-up exam or an Internet/Distance Learning course test proctored, please download the form, print a copy, fill it out and bring or email it to the Testing Center. Internet/Distance Learning course instructors, make sure the form is filled out completely, including passwords for the tests and materials that can be used during the test. Instructors needing make-up tests proctored are responsible for getting the tests to the Testing Center with the appropriate form filled out and for picking up the tests for scoring. Instructors will be required to sign for the tests they are picking up.

Special Accommodations

Special accommodations for testing are available for students who have filled out the appropriate forms in the Counseling and Advising Center to request testing modifications. Please call ADA Coordinator Ansley Hoskins at 903-782-0281 for more information. After approval, instructors must download and fill out the Special Accommodations Testing form and bring this form and the test to the Testing Center.

All special accommodation requests require submission of documentation to support the request. Requests for accommodations must be submitted well in advance of the desired test date.
