Transfer Admission Requirements

In accordance with 19 TAC §4.25 and Senate Bill 3039, Paris Junior College publishes the following minimum requirements for transfer admission. All transfer students must:

  • Submit an official transcript from every previously attended institution.
  • Meet PJC's standard admissions requirements in effect for all students.
  • Be in good academic standing at the last institution attended, or meet PJC's academic standing requirements for admission.

PJC provides transfer students with the same support services available to non-transfer students, including advising, tutoring, financial aid, and student success resources.

All certificate and degree program requirements — including minimum grade requirements for transferable courses — are published in the PJC Course Catalog and are updated regularly. Students are encouraged to review program requirements carefully and contact Advising & Counseling with questions.

Transfer Liaison

In accordance with Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board rules (19 TAC §4.40) implementing Senate Bill 3039, Paris Junior College has designated a Transfer Liaison to serve as the primary point of contact for transfer students, other institutions, and the Coordinating Board. The Transfer Liaison ensures students receive clear information on transferable and non-accepted credit, including justifications and dispute resolution, as well as degree audits for core curriculum, field of study curricula, Texas Direct associate degrees, and other credentials.
