Account Payable Clerk
Responsibilities: This position will provide accounts payable support to the Business Office.
Qualifications: Applicant must have a High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. Three years’ experience in responsible employment. Equivalent combination of experience and education. Working knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting principles, business communications, spelling, punctuation, and mathematics, thorough knowledge of current office practices and procedures. Proven qualifications of leadership, accuracy, initiative, and organization. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, students, and community members; and to effectively deal with potential public relations problems courteously and tactfully. Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft products including Word and Excel. Must be bondable.
Salary: The minimum annual salary for this position is $25,000 and the actual starting salary will be dependent upon education and experience of the chosen candidate.
Fringe Benefits: This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
