Responsibilities:  This position has administrative and recruitment responsibilities for the division and its personnel.

Qualifications:  Applicant must have a Master’s from an accredited institution in one of the fine arts disciplines.  College teaching experience required, with a minimum of three years in a community college preferred.  Three to five years of experience in academic administration or a leadership position required.  Demonstrated ability to lead and manage faculty and staff, budgets, and program development required.  Broad knowledge of educational pedagogy and new methodologies, strategies, and tool, including technologies and multi-media that support engaged learning and the needs of underprepared students required.  Demonstrated strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including record of effective team work and collaboration required.  Ability to coordinate complex projects and administrative experiences, including directing grant activities required.  Demonstrated experience with assessment of student learning and faculty development preferred.  Creative and energetic advocate for the humanities, fine arts, and social sciences preferred.  Ability to make significant contributions to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning preferred.  Organizational, supervisory and managerial skills, including budget administration and knowledge of compliance regulations, requirements of SACS, THECB, and Policies and Procedures of Paris Junior College within the context of the institutions vision, mission and core values.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong public relations and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills.

Salary:  The annual salary range for this position is $93,919 - $114,535 and the actual starting salary will be dependent upon education and experience of the chosen candidate.

Fringe Benefits: This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas or Optional Retirement Program, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program.  Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
