What is Inclusive Access?
PJC’s Inclusive Access program helps students save money on course materials and gives them instant access to those materials by the first day of class.
What are the benefits of Inclusive Access at PJC?
- 20-60% lower pricing on course materials.
- The cost of materials is included as a fee in the cost of the course. So, students can pay for their classes and course materials by going to MyPJC and receive the correct course materials by the first day of class.
- Students may use their financial aid awards to pay for these course materials.
- Digital platforms offer features like highlighting, flash cards & note-sharing, which can lead to greater success in the course.
- Alleviates the stress of finding and purchasing the correct course materials.
How much does Inclusive Access cost?
The price varies depending on the content chosen by the instructor, but Inclusive Access prices are lower (on average 20-60% less) than the cost of purchasing access directly from the textbook publisher or purchasing textbooks elsewhere.
How do students know if their class(es) are using Inclusive Access course materials?
Within 24 hours of enrolling in an Inclusive Access course, the student will receive an email at their student email address with details on how to access your digital materials or their course materials will be included in the course in Blackboard.
Verify the format of the course materials through MyPJC by looking for a Textbooks and Supplies fee.
What type of materials are included?
Digital materials are available in Inclusive Access programs and can be an eBook or courseware materials.
How long are the digital materials available to the student?
Digital materials may be accessed for a minimum of 180 days (about 6 months) and may be available for longer periods based on the material adopted and the publisher’s terms.
Are recommended course materials included in Inclusive Access?
Only materials identified as “required” by the instructor are included in this program. All “recommended” materials are available for purchase separately at the bookstore.
What happens if a student drops their Inclusive Access course?
When a student withdraws from the College or drops a course, tuition and fees will be refunded according to policy. The same applies to Inclusive Access course fees. See the Refund Policy for more information.
For courses dropped prior to the last day to drop or add deadlines, access to the digital materials is automatically disabled.
