Instructional Lead Adult Education & Family Literacy

The Instructional Lead coordinates program instruction, including coaching new and existing instructors/volunteers and guiding overall service delivery including implementation of the Texas AEL Content Standards v.3.

Bachelor’s degree in related field required.  Prior experience in adult education preferred.  Computer and current technology/communications skills required.  Applicant must possess time management and organizational skills, leadership and communication skills, and a sincere desire to help adults be successful.  Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable on college insurance.  Travel required.  Must be able to accommodate constant (80-100%) walking, sitting, standing, reaching, and keyboarding.  Ability to lift 20 lbs.

This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee.  Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability.  Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program.  Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
