PJC Students Honored at 2026 All-Texas Academic Team Ceremony

Paris Junior College is proud to celebrate seven students who received prestigious recognition through the 2026 All-Texas Academic Team program. Jacy Barnett, Lyric Brunson, Katelin Leach, Olivia Lee, Bao Nguyen, and Morgan Wooden were each selected as All-Texas Academic Team honorees and received medallions recognizing their outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and service to their campus and community.

Since 2009, The University of Texas System and the Texas Association of Community Colleges have partnered annually to host the All-Texas Academic Team Medallion Ceremony, which celebrates outstanding community college students who plan to transfer to four-year institutions or join the workforce. Members of the All-Texas Academic Team represent the best and brightest students who excel in academics, leadership, and service.

PJC student Zing Len received additional distinction, being named a 2026 Coca-Cola Academic Team Scholar. The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by awarding nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually, and each scholar also receives a commemorative medallion.

The awards ceremony was held April 17–18 at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where honorees Katelin Leach and Olivia Lee traveled with Dr. Lisa Elliott, Vice President of Student Services, to receive their medallions in person.

Congratulations to all seven of these outstanding Dragons on this well-deserved recognition!
