PJC Associate Degree Nursing Graduates Achieve 94.74% First-Attempt NCLEX Pass Rate
Paris Junior College (PJC) proudly congratulates its Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program and August 2026 nursing graduates on an outstanding achievement: all graduates have taken the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), with 94.74% passing on their first attempt.
The results reflect the program’s commitment to preparing highly qualified, compassionate nurses who are ready to serve patients and strengthen healthcare across the region.
“A 94.74% first attempt pass rate is a reflection of the strength of our program and the dedication of our students, faculty, and community partners. I am extremely proud of this class,” said Heather Unruh, Dean of Health Occupations at PJC.
“We hold all of our Health Occupations students to high standards because their future patients deserve nothing less. Rigorous support and high expectations go hand in hand. We challenge our students to excel, and we support them every step of the way.”
Unruh emphasized the vital role faculty play in student success, noting that the program’s educators bring both clinical expertise and a deep commitment to teaching.
“Our faculty are the cornerstone of this success. They are expert clinicians and dedicated educators who treat each student’s achievement as a personal commitment. We are not only preparing nurses who understand the science, but also nurses who truly know how to care.”
As healthcare needs continue to grow throughout Northeast Texas and surrounding communities, PJC’s nursing graduates are preparing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families.
“When someone in our community is most vulnerable, there’s a strong likelihood that a PJC nurse will be there for them. This is a responsibility we take seriously, and this class is prepared for it,” Unruh said.
Scholarships and community support also play an important role in helping students pursue their nursing education and enter the healthcare workforce. Unruh expressed appreciation for the donors and partners who invest in PJC students and the future of regional healthcare.
“Every scholarship awarded is a vote of confidence in our students and in the future of healthcare in our region. To everyone who has contributed, thank you! This pass rate belongs to all of you.”
Paris Junior College remains committed to providing students with the education, hands-on preparation, and support needed to succeed in demanding healthcare professions. The success of the August 2026 ADN graduates demonstrates the impact of that commitment and the importance of investing in the next generation of nurses.
