Introduction to Sewing

Learn the basics of sewing, including various stitches and seam finishes while you build a solid sewing foundation. You will complete two simple projects: a drawstring bag and a zippered pouch. The best part? It doesn't matter if you've never touched a sewing machine before. Students will need to provide the following:

• Scissors - nice ones to cut fabric
• Scissors - cheap pair for cutting paper
• Thread: blue, black and white
• Buttons: Single card of 0.25" - 0.5"
• Zipper: 8" black or white
• Fabric: 1 yard of muslin fabric, prewashed and ironed
• Hooks and eyes and snaps

Course Fee: $150 (16 Hours Classroom)
