Related PJC Policies: FLB – Student Rights & Responsibilities: Student Conduct

Refer to Policy FLB for detailed expectations and standards for PJC students. If a conflict exists between this Code and the official PJC Policy Manual, the Policy Manual governs.

Paris Junior College expects every student to uphold the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and respect. As members of an academic community, students are considered adults and are therefore responsible for understanding and following all College policies, procedures, handbooks, catalogs, and directives, as well as all municipal, state, and federal laws.

Students must conduct themselves in a manner that supports a safe, orderly, and academically focused environment. No student may disrupt instruction, interfere with learning, or hinder the ability of others to pursue their educational goals.

The Student Code of Conduct exists to promote a civil, safe, and productive campus where individuals can excel in their educational pursuits.

Student Conduct is administered through the Office of Student Life within Student Services. The Director of Student Life serves as PJC’s Student Conduct Officer and is supported by the Vice President of Student Services.

Questions about specific classroom expectations should be directed at the course instructor or the appropriate academic dean. Students enrolled in specialized programs may also be required to follow additional program-specific handbooks or rules.
