EOC is one of the Federal TRIO Programs that support adults from disadvantaged backgrounds to access and succeed in postsecondary education. The program focuses on admissions counseling, financial aid literacy, and application assistance to increase adult enrollment in college or training.
The Educational Opportunity Center is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Services are free to participants. TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC) at Paris Junior College is 100% federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education. TRIO EOC serves 1,100 participants annually who are from low-income backgrounds, first-generation college students and/or participants with disabling conditions, with a budget of $383,770.
