Responsibilities: This position will effectively direct TRIO’s Student Support Services (SSS) program and Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) activities in accordance with grant contract and the host institution's guidelines in a manner that is conducive to promote student success, program effectiveness and positive community relations.

Qualifications: Applicant must have a Master's Degree, with major strengths in one of the following:  College Administration, Behavioral Science, Business Administration, Counseling, Secondary and Higher Education, or a related field.  Five years of experience in a public school, college, or university setting.  Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to TRIO’s target populations, host institution personnel, and community referral sources.  Previous experience in budgetary planning and management.  Strong leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships with students, staff, institutional departments, and community partners.  Proven ability to implement and evaluate program activities to meet federal objectives.

Salary: The annual salary range for this position is $68,000 - $70,400.

Fringe Benefits: This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas or Optional Retirement Program, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program.  Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
