Introductory course covering the use and maintenance of equipment, safety techniques, and hands on use of “top of the line” machines for sawing and shaping of rough gem materials to finished stones. Covers orientation of phenomenon stones; and cutting to calibrated sizes as well as free-form shapes. (WECM Course Number HRGY 1091 - Special Topics in Watchmaking and Jewelrymaking)
