The Presidential Search Committee
The Presidential Search Committee will review the confidential applications, interview semifinalist candidates, and identify the final candidates to be forwarded to the Board for consideration. The Search Committee is comprised of the following members:

Final Candidates
All final candidates will participate in open forums at Paris Junior College and the finalists will interview with the Board of Regents. It is anticipated the open forums will take place in March 2024. Forum dates, times, and location will be publicized once they are confirmed.

November 29, 2023
ACCT facilitates open public forums to solicit input for the development of a Draft Presidential Profile.
Early December 2023
Search Committee training and orientation is held and the Committee receives, reviews, and edits the draft Presidential Profile. The PJC Board of Regents meets to discuss, edit, and finalize the Presidential Profile.
December 2023
Position is open and advertised. Presidential Profile is posted on www.parisjc.edu and www.acctsearches.org. ACCT conducts targeted local, statewide, and national one-to-one recruitment of highly competitive and diverse candidates.
February 6, 2024
Target Date for Applications (position remains open until filled).
February 2024
Search Committee Meeting: discussion and selection of semifinalist candidates.
Early March 2024
Search Committee Meeting: confidential interviews with semifinalists. The Committee deliberates and selects finalists to forward to the Board for further consideration.
March 7, 2024
The PJC Board of Regents received the recommendation of three finalists from the PJC Presidential Search Committee: Dr. Stephen Benson, Dr. Joel Michaelis, and Dr. Kevin Rose. Campus visits were scheduled for March 20-22, 2024. Learn more by clicking here.

Finalists interview with the Board of Regents, tour campus and sites, participate in open public forums, meet with direct reports.
Early April 2024
Board of Regents announces the next president of Paris Junior College.
June 1, 2024
Start date for next President of Paris Junior College (or date as agreed between the President-elect and Board of Regents).

This is a confidential search process. To ensure full consideration, application materials should be received no later than February 6, 2024. The position will remain open until filled.

Candidates will need to have the following information or materials available to complete the application:
1. A letter of application (not to exceed 5 pages) that succinctly addresses the opportunities and challenges identified in the Position Profile and demonstrates how the candidate’s experience and professional qualifications prepare them to serve as the President of Paris Junior College.
2. A current resume including an email address and cellular telephone number.
3. A list of eight references: example, two to three supervisors, two to three direct reports, and two to three faculty and/or staff members from current and former institutions.
