PJC Veterans Day Ceremony slated for Friday, Nov. 10

Paris Junior College will observe Veterans Day at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023. The ceremony will begin in the DeShong Chapel and move outside to the PJC Veterans Memorial, just north of the Administration building.

2023 PJC Homecoming King and Queen crowned

As part of Paris Junior College’s 99th Homecoming festivities, the 2023 King and Queen were crowned during halftime of the men’s basketball game on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023. Chosen were Caydence Gonzalez and Oscar Hernández Lesage. PJC’s 1998 PJC Homecoming Queen LaKeysha Brown joined Director of Student Life Kenneth Webb in crowning the King and Queen. Afterwards, Brown received a special commemorative award celebrating the 25th anniversary of her crowning.

Today, the Aspen Institute named Paris Junior College as one of the 150 institutions eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation's signature recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges.

Paris Junior College has three days of activities planned for the 2023 Homecoming Celebrations, November 2-4, 2023. Board of Regents consider interim president

At the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Paris Junior College Board of Regents, the contract with the Association of Community College Trustees to conduct a presidential search was approved, as was a motion to have the board president, Curtis Fendley, prepare a contract for an interim president and discuss the position with the candidate interviewed earlier in the meeting. These actions follow the announcement by Dr. Pam Anglin, PJC President, at the September board meeting that she would be leaving at year end.
