Vocational nursing graduates pinned May 10

Vocational Nursing Awards were presented during Paris Junior College pinning ceremonies held recently. From left are John Walker of Paris who was a co-winner of the Metamorphosis Award for exhibiting the most growth through the program; Julie Mynatt of Greenville, Highest Average Award; April Morales of Klondike, co-winner, Metamorphosis Award; and Elliott Casey Rose of Deport, the Hopkins-Nicholas Award for outstanding performance in classroom and clinical training.
Paris Junior College's Health Occupations Department held pinning ceremonies and handed out awards to vocational nursing graduates at ceremonies held Thursday, May 10, in the Hunt Center.
The Hopkins-Nicholas Award for outstanding performance in both classroom and clinical training went to Elliott Casey Rose of Deport. April Morales of Klondike and John Walker of Paris were each given the Metamorphosis Award for exhibiting the most growth through the entire vocational nursing program. Julie Mynatt of Greenville had the highest grade average. Three students received the TNSA (Texas Nursing Students Association) appreciation award for outstanding participation. They are Dominique Garcia of Lone Oak and Rebecca Grantham and Virginia Carolyn White, both of Greenville.
Achieving perfect attendance were Yariza Castillo, Brandi Cody, Brandi Evans, Becky Grantham, Jalayne Minter, Kelti Mowery, Julie Mynatt, Jillian Ross, Jana Warren and Carolyn White. This signified that throughout the entire program these students had no absences or tardiness for class, clinicals or any scheduled nursing appointments.
