Connor Anderson and Madison Wells were named the 2018 Mr. and Miss Paris Junior College during halftime of the men's basketball game on Saturday, March 3. To be nominated, candidates must be a full-time student, have at least 45 hours completed at PJC, and be on track to graduate. They are nominated by PJC faculty and staff and then selected by a vote of the student body. Anderson, of Rowlett, is the son of Jim and Yvonne Anderson and a graduate of Sachse High School. The sophomore is in his second year with the Dragons baseball team as an infielder. He plans to continue playing baseball at a four-year university and majoring in construction science. Wells is a graduate of Rivercrest High School and the daughter of Cyndi and Victor Wells of Mt. Pleasant. A two-year member of the Dragons cheerleading squad, she is currently team captain. She plans to attend Texas A&M University - Commerce for a degree in education and try out for the Lions cheerleading squad. Also nominated were Aaron Beaulaurier, Vanessa Cooley, Ryleigh Davidson, Tyler Myers, Naul Rojas, Aaron Stanley, Chelsey Walker, and Leigh Westbrook.
