PJC holding boys basketball camp on June 14
The Paris Junior College Dragons All American Basketball Camp for boys in first through ninth grades will be held Monday, June 14 through Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Hunt Athletic Center, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Paris Junior College has holding a special coding camp made possible by the Texas Workforce Commission at six locations during June, July and August. Applications must be received by the PJC Continuing Education Department on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. The college will be closed on Monday, May 31 for Memorial Day.

Paris Junior College celebrated the 96th spring Commencement with a modified in-person ceremony that included a Teaching Excellence Award. More than 250 students, including current graduates as well as those who had virtual ceremonies in 2020, participated in the graduation at Noyes Stadium on May 7, 2021.

Students of Paris Junior College had readily taken the opportunity to step up and help in the Paris and Lamar County COVID-19 vaccination effort begun in late January. A majority of students in the PJC nursing programs were joined by students in the emergency medical services program, nursing and EMS faculty, and faculty and staff from PJC to assist in getting hundreds of people vaccinated over two Fridays (Jan. 22 and 29, 2021) at the Hunt Center.

A clean audit report for Paris Junior College and the PJC Memorial Foundation was presented to the College Board of Regents by Teffany Kavanaugh, audit manager for McClanahan and Holmes, at their monthly meeting held Monday, Jan. 25, 2021. Regents also approved changes to the College’s nursing program.

Architect and Paris Junior College alumnus and regent Paul Keith Denney passed away on July 18, 2019 after a 16-month battle with brain cancer. Now, thanks to his friend Linda Vandiver, Denney's musical legacy will live on in an endowment created to award music scholarships to PJC.
