Paris Junior College’s Greenville campus will move to a new home in 2008. Paris Junior College broke ground in May 2007 for its new campus on Monte Stratton Boulevard west of Greenville High School. Construction on the first phase of the campus should be completed in July 2008 so students can begin attending fall semester (2008) classes in the new facility. The 39,000-square-foot facility will accommodate 2,500 students.
The Greenville Center is located at 9315 Jack Finney Blvd., south of Interstate 30 in Greenville (Map / Satellite). It is a warm, friendly center where staff and students alike are eager to assist and encourage new students. The center offers general academic courses that lead to an associate’s degree in arts or sciences. More than half of the students enrolled at the Greenville Center complete courses that enable them to transfer to a four-year university. The college has a variety of certificate programs in office occupations, computer training, heating and air conditioning, and nursing. Counseling and advising are available to students, and learning skills programs are in place to help students progress. Free tutoring for math, English, science and Spanish is available. The Greenville Center also offers a variety of continuing education classes, including a dental assisting program and other technical training. There is an active chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, a student Honor Society that is involved in many community service programs. Also, Honor Society students may be eligible for scholarships through Phi Theta Kappa membership. The Greenville Center is committed to, and aggressively pursues academic and social opportunities for its students and community. It works closely with local businesses to develop a workforce for the future. Contact:
