Section: Dragons Game Reportsvs. Eastern Oklahoma State College 11.05.05Date: Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005
Result: Win (62-55)
By Bill Foy
For the Dragons, it was their first game since clinching the national championship to end last season. PJC started out tough against Eastern Oklahoma, jumping ahead 16-2 in the first half. But the Mountaineers came right back and took a 24-23 lead before PJC was able to regain it and carry a 27-26 lead into halftime. In the second half, it was all PJC, as the Dragons clamped down defensively. It was the first game of the year, and the guys competed hard and played well defensively. We figured out a way to get it done, and anytime you can do that on the road is big. PJC is at Ranger on Tuesday and Grayson on Thursday before returning home for Saturday afternoon’s homecoming game against Eastern Oklahoma.
