Student Conduct at PJC

Paris Junior College is committed to a learning environment that is safe, respectful, and focused on academic success. The Student Conduct policy explains the behavior expectations for all students and outlines what happens if a student is reported for misconduct.

The goal of Student Conduct is to promote personal responsibility, protect the rights of all students, and support a campus culture where everyone can learn and thrive. Students are expected to follow College rules and procedures (including safety, housing, and technology guidelines), even if a specific situation is not listed word-for-word in the Code of Conduct.

As a member of our academic community, every student is expected to uphold the highest standards of personal integrity and respect. This Code of Conduct is designed to foster a safe, civil, and academically rigorous environment where all individuals can thrive.

By adhering to PJC's Code of Conduct, students help maintain a vibrant, respectful, and dynamic learning environment. PJC’s collective commitment to these principles ensures that everyone can benefit from a supportive and high-achieving academic community.

What Students Can Expect

If a concern is reported, the College will follow an established process designed to be fair and consistent. Depending on the situation, outcomes may include educational interventions or disciplinary action. Possible sanctions can range from warnings or probation to suspension or expulsion.

Students can also expect:

  • Due process and a chance to share their perspective during the conduct process 

  • A process that may involve multiple levels of review and appeal
