Student Recruiter and Academic Advisor

The responsibilities of this position are to assist in the planning and implementation of programs to attract and matriculate students to achieve the strategic enrollment objectives of Paris Junior College.

Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in student services, admissions, financial aid, counseling, or recruitment highly desirable. Successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and as well as ability to make presentations to different target groups. Computer experience and the ability to work independently are essential. This position requires a valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel and will require day and evening hours and the ability to lift and carry boxes of materials (25-50 lbs.).

This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee.  Additional optional coverages includes dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability.  Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program.  Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
