Charter chosen as Construction Manager At Risk

Published or Revised February 17, 2009

The Paris Junior College Board of Regents selected a Construction Manager At Risk for new student housing in Paris after hearing from two of three invited companies last week. During the meeting, regents heard presentations from and asked questions of each company. After discussion, the regents chose Charter Builders as the Construction Manager At Risk for the new PJC residence halls on the Paris campus. The finalists had been chosen based on rankings for experience with education construction, experience in Northeast Texas, personnel with appropriate background, familiarity with college needs, adequate bonding, acceptable and detailed schedules, etc. Charter Builders also oversaw construction of the new PJC — Greenville Center. "We were very pleased with the results at the Greenville Center and how Charter kept us on time and within budget," said PJC President Dr. Pamela Anglin. "We look forward to having the same results in Paris."
